The gun has very good wood with the usual issue knocks and scratches. There is a small loss to the rear of the lock. The backstrap to grip is cut for a shoulder stock and is marked AWEYC16. The metalwork is to a dark patina with one or two very small patches of pitting. Fair rifling to bore.

The wood retains most original varnish but with some knocks and scratches and there is a small repair to the right hand side of the fore-end. The pistol has a horn tipped ramrod and a 9in. barrel. Length overall 15in. There are some odd patches of light pitting, mainly to the trigger guard. Good working order.

Storekeeper's marks to side of trigger guard and to ramrod channel and what appears to be the original ramrod. The pistol has very good wood to stock with a small sliver loss to right hand side of fore-end. (Very old loss) The stock is marked "1780". The pistol has fine brass furniture with no damage and the rest of the metal work is to a dark patina. A very fine example of a rare pistol.

There are butt traps to both pistols, one containing an original spare nipple. The guns are number 1 and 2. They have etched rose twist Damascus barrels. This is a un-touched pair of pistols retaining all their original finish to metal work and original varnish to wood, with one or two very minor knocks to wood. Barrel length 6in. Overall length 11½in. Very good working order and condition.
